Australia 12

Sigh...my girls. I love them.

Australia 11: Four Generations

Phyl won't be around too much longer (though that could mean another 5 to 10 years with her). It was great to get some of these photos of all the generations of ladies from Tilly to Emma to Madeleine to Phyl.

Australia 10

Scrabble is more fun when your opponents have dementia. No offense, but it's true.

Australia 9

Like momma like daughter. We spent a lot of time with Larry and Meg...most of the last week of our time there we spent in a house that they rented on Lake Macquarie, about an hour and a half north of Sydney.

Australia 8

We also spent some time out in Coonabarabran, where Tilly's Grandma Madeleine grew up. We saw the graves of a lot of Tilly's relatives, including her great-great-grandmother Elsie Knight and great-great-grandfather Bill Knight. Tilly's great-grandfather Frank Knight fought for Australia in the war; he was in Papua New Guinea, watching out for his younger brother (who was in the same unit) and fighting the Japanese.

Australia 7, The Other Camera

We spent a lot of time with Tilly's great-grandmother, Phyl, and her great-uncle and great0aunt, Larry and Meg out in Young.

Australia 6: Grandpa Paul and Ange

Still getting on top of things. We spent a day with Tilly's Grandpa Paul and Ange at Manly Beach. It was good to see them, as always.

Australia 4

Caves beach, taking a walk at Manly on the surf side on a cold day, and Tilly is underwhelmed by the opera house.

Australia 3

Tilly discovers fresh mangoes, yum cha, the wharf-side beach at Manly, italian ice cream, and the Taronga zoo.

Australia 2

The one of Tilly sitting at the bar is probably my favorite photo I have ever taken.
