Saturday with Dad | 02.18.12
Start the morning at Cupcake, with a Cup O' Mud cupcake (and other real breakfast).
Balance beam, like at gymnastics.
Leaving Cupcake.
Airport Dog Park!
At the Ordway with Luke and Logan.
Tormenting pigeons.
Walking on Grand Ave.
Lunch at Coffee News.
First Bubble tea.
Attitude....
Attitude....
Attitude!
Tapioca bubble from the tea.
John, Laura, Luke and Logan came over for dinner.
What a full day. Watching her have the bubble tea for the first time, watching her suck up the tapioca balls through the straw and like them...those new things I see her experience make me feel young again.

Tim Riggins the Fish Arrives at Our House | 02.13.12
On Day 2 she dumped about two tablespoons of food in his bowl, so we'll see if I am running to Petco in the morning.
Osaka! | 02.11.12
Saturday we went out with our friends Jen and Andy and their girls Carly and Frannie. Tilly loved the flames and the noise and all the action. I think she enjoyed the food, too.
Kiki's Cabin in Moose Lake | 01.21.12
My friend Kiki let us stay at her cabin a few weeks ago. It is so beautiful...Tilly still asks when we are going again. That girl is starting off with expensive taste! But it was really nice. Tilly did a bunch of snow angels on the lake with Emma. The dogs loved it too.
Uncles Nick and Mike | 01.09.2012
Teenage years telegraphed in this image.
Holding Court: it looks like she could be holding a glass of whiskey, but I promise it's not.
Sadly (for me and Emma, anyway) these two lovebirds aren't together anymore. But they both adored and doted on Tilly, so that's all that really matters.
Catching Up | 12.31.2011
Some shots from Jim and Holly's house on New Year's Eve. Mostly these are for Uncle Al and all relatives in Australia who haven't seen her in a while. I really burned myself out on Evel Kneivel and his exploits, so I apologize for the hiatus.

Saving the World
Tillybird,
The following thoughts came to me the other morning, sitting in a seminar at a law firm downtown in a nice conference room on the 21st Floor of the Wells Fargo Tower, learning about HUD financing and New Markets Tax Credits and such stuff:
The world is what it is, and it always has been. It's a fixed objective reality. There is goodness and evil, and at the moment it seems to me that everything originates from one of those two places.
That evolving dynamic, that creative tension, is an invitation to you to go out there and make sense of it...and make sense of how it appears to change while it's actually you that is changing over time.
The challenge isn't necessarily for you to change the world, or save the world. I have spent almost all of my adult life trying to position myself to do that. The world doesn't need saving. Neither you nor I are that important or powerful.
I now believe it's for you...and me and everyone...to seek and be able to recognize the good that's already out there in the world and be a leader in driving that goodness into new, uncharted territory.
That's it, my dear daughter. You are my favorite girl in the world, the love of my life. I am already proud of what you're going to do. I don't know what that is, but I know you are going to be something.
Love,
Dada
PS: I burned myself out on photos while Evel Knievel was visiting us in December. I promise I will get back at it soon.
